  • How do I find The Moves Pilates?

    You will find us at St. Georges Studios, 93-97 St George's Rd, Glasgow G3 6JA. Please enter through the reception doors (double green doors) and we are in Studio 13. If you are lost, one of our guys on the front desk will be able to assist you.

    We are a 6 min walk from Charing Cross train station and a 7 min walk from St. Georges Cross underground station.

    Parking

    There is paid on street parking from 8am - 10pm.

  • What type of Pilates do you offer?
    We offer contemporary mat Pilates with three distinct class styles, each designed to support different movement goals - from slower, alignment-focused flows to dynamic, strength-led sessions.

    Is Pilates suitable for beginners?
    Yes. All of our classes are open-level, with options and regressions offered so you can move at your own pace. We would recommend you attend Core Moves (beginner friendly) if you are not familiar with more dynamic styles of pilates.

    Do I need to be fit or flexible to start?
    Not at all. Pilates helps build strength, mobility, and control over time and our instructors are there to support you through that journey.

  • What are the three class styles?
    We have 3 class styles - Signature Moves, Core Moves and Strong Moves. See more info here.

    Are classes low-impact?
    Yes. All classes are low-impact. Though some styles are more dynamic and strength-focused than others.

    Are modifications offered?
    Absolutely. Our instructors offer modifications throughout class.

    Is Strong Moves suitable for pre/postnatal clients?
    No, Strong Moves is not pre/postnatal friendly. Other classes may be more suitable.

  • How do I book a class?

    What happens if I need to cancel?
    We maintain a strict 12-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled classes. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the automatic loss of associated class credit.No exceptions will be made unless required by law.

    Do class packs or memberships expire?
    Yes - please see all class pack information here.

    Can I waitlist for a class?
    Yes - if a class is fully booked you can add yourself to the waitlist. If someone cancels their spot, you will be notified via email that a spot has opened up and you can book this.

  • What should I bring?
    Just a water bottle to stay hydrated and your best energy!

    Do you provide equipment?
    Yes - all mats, props and equipment are provided in-studio.

    What should I wear?
    Comfortable activewear you can move freely in. Leggings and form fitting tops are recommended so our instructors can see you form, however please wear whatever you are comfortable in.

  • Is Pilates safe during pregnancy?
    Yes, certain classes are suitable up to 13 weeks - please before attending class contact us on hello@themovespilates.com

    Is there a pre/post natal specific class?

    Not currently - but we do plan to add one in future.

    Can I attend with an injury?
    Please speak with a healthcare professional to be cleared for exercise and inform the instructor before class. Be mindful The Moves Pilates is not physio lead pilates and will not be suitable for certain injuries.

  • What is your teaching style?
    Dynamic, intentional, and rooted in Pilates fundamentals — with our signature spice™.

    Do different instructors teach differently?
    Yes - while every instructor brings their own energy but all classes follow The Moves Pilates dynamic style.
